Matthew Moran has more than 18 years experience in media management and public relations on both client and agency sides. During this time he has developed a strong focus on stakeholder communications, issues management, policy development and media engagement.
Matthew has worked in senior management positions at Pfizer in Australia and the United Kingdom and was more recently group director for one of Australia’s largest public relations firms. During this time, he developed a deep understanding of the Australian political and regulatory environment as well as implementing national public affairs, communication and brand campaigns.
Often, a key component to a successful political advocacy campaign is a coordinated public relations and media strategy to raise public awareness of issues and convince political stakeholders of the need for action.
Matthew’s broad public affairs experience includes government affairs, corporate communication, media affairs, issues and crisis management, policy development, internal communication, corporate social responsibility and social media.
Matthew has managed successful campaigns for clients including Pfizer, sanofi-aventis, Servier Laboratories, Bayer, Fresenius Medical Care, Mundipharma, AstraZeneca, IPSEN pharmaceuticals, Department of Health and Ageing, NSW Health, Cook Medical, Merial, Cerner Corporation, Raine & Horne, BT Investment Management, HLB Mann Judd, Resi Home Loans and Reed Business International.
